Scout + Avery
Scout Durwood is an LA-based writer and comedian. Her debut studio album, Take One Thing Off, was released with Blue Élan Records, along with a twenty-two episode digital series of the same name, written and directed by Scout. The series was nominated for Best Indie Series at the 2019 Streamy Awards. In 2020 and 2021, she released follow-up EPs, Comedy Electronica Vol. 1 and 2, and is currently in post-production on her second feature-length visual album, Youtopia. Scout starred in MTV’s scripted comedy Mary + Jane and Funny Girls on Oxygen. Her thirty-minute comedy special is available on the Epix series Unprotected Sets. Scout is an accomplished cabaret singer and a nationally touring comedian.
Avery Pearson is from Toronto, Canada, and is the go-to guy for comedy music in LA. He is the creator and host of The 88 Show with Avery Pearson, a sold-out monthly musical comedy variety show that is a staple at The Hollywood Improv (Netflix Is A Joke Festival, New York Comedy Festival). His music was featured on Saturday Night Live for the “Angelo” sketch, featuring Aristotle Athari, Cecily Strong, Daniel Craig, and Rami Malek. He recently wrote the opening numbers for the 2022 ESPYs (live on ABC), featuring Stephen Curry and Jay Pharoah, and the 2022 NFL Honors (live on ABC/ESPN+), where he served as Music Director for the House Band, hosted by Keegan-Michael Key. He also recently appeared on The Hall (Netflix) and Bill Burr’s Friends Who Kill (Netflix). Avery created comedy music for The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show (Netflix) and Year in Review with Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson (Peacock), and can be seen in Historical Roasts with Jeff Ross (Netflix) as the Musical Director, where he wrote all of the incredible music for the show. His music video "I'm Not Equipped to Be a Father," featuring Tiffany Haddish and Chris Redd, was front-paged by Funny or Die, where he created several branded music videos (Jack Links, Chrysler). Avery co-wrote and co-directed the song and music video "Christmas Magic," featuring 60 all-star comics (Howie Mandel, Adam Devine, Sasheer Zamata, Nick Swardson, Richard Lewis, and more) to benefit Comedy Gives Back. He has appeared in Masters of Sex (Showtime), Suits (USA), and LA Complex (CW).
